Key Features
For participating insurers and medical practices, SureMed provides a standardised approach to collect medical information required for underwriting purposes, and for claims. Insurers can generate one or more of the following requests through SureMed:
- Information Request (PMAR, claims report or other medical history questionnaires) – delivered to GPs electronically or by fax (where a practice is not set-up for electronic delivery).
- Electronic information requests made by insurers are delivered direct to the GPs PMS inbox. When opened, the SureMed form prepopulates with information from the PMS. GPs review and amend content as required, then send the completed request electronically to the insurer.
- Blood Test, ECG test or examination – delivered to the Adviser to pass onto the client for action. Paramedical services can also be requested for bloods, biometric measurements, and questionnaires
During the process, Konnect manages interaction with GPs and other health providers on behalf of insurers and advisors, Insurers can track the status of SureMed requests online using Konnects workflow management system.
The service is offered at no cost to GPs, and Konnect pays GPs for information requests completed. Privacy protection of personal medical information meets industry and legal requirements.
