Hamish McLachlan, Director of Konnect Net, says he is delighted that judges for the prestigious NZ Hi-Tech Awards have selected the company’s SureMed service as a finalist for the 2011 HiFX Innovative Hi-Tech Services Product Award.
Announcing the finalists last night, the organisers said entries across all awards this year hit record numbers, with the 40-strong judging panel including the Wall Street Journal’s Global Business Advisor of the Year, Gary Hamel, and Dell founder, Michael Dell.
“It is great to see this recognition for SureMed. It is an innovation that has already benefited health providers and insurers by radically improving efficiencies in the way information between them is processed,” Hamish McLachlan said.
Since full deployment in early 2010 SureMed has been taken up by 11 New Zealand insurers and is now used by all New Zealand GP Practices to respond to insurance medical information requests. Konnect Net is developing the service for deployment in Australia.
Winners of the awards will be announced on May 6th.
